LEATHER AND FUR DESIGNS WERE ON THE WALKWAY AT THE 2. ISTANBUL LEATHER FASHION FAIR IN TUYAP

2.İstanbul Leather Fashion Fair, Organized by TÜYAP in cooperation with Artı F Organizations, is actively supported by Turkish Leather Garments Producers Association, hosted also the final of the Leather Design Contest “Le Moda” which is very important for the sector.
2.İstanbul Leather Fashion Fair that exhibited leather and fur garments enabled buyers and sellers at the same time designers and producers come together. The decisive of the 2008-2009 winter trends 2.İstanbul Leather Fashion Fair also became a stage for the magnificent fashion show.
2.İstanbul Leather Fashion Fair that derived a fashion feast was a pioneer for sector companies in order to increase their international trade targets, create new markets and meet customers. There were 42 designers who applied “Le Moda” Leather Design Contest that aimed to support the original designs in order to empower the competition of the leather and fur garments sector in the world markets with global brands and encourage the young designers in order to increase the number of the talent designers of the sector.22 designs were qualified to be displayed in the contest and they deserved to take part in the second evaluation. At the end of the second evaluation 8 contestants went on to the final.
The designs that went on to the final were transferred into products by the workshop and technic support of the leading companies of the leather and fur sector and they entered the podium at the gala fashion show in April 17 2008. The designs which went on to the final at the gala fashion show were displayed by the famous models such as Çağla Şikel, Şebnem Schaefer, Tülin Şahin, Hande Subaşı, Tuğçe Güder.
